ok...i am here to tell u wat happened during the under no roof camp and the SC room redeco day..lets start..
DAY ONE OF UNDER NO ROOF CAMP 7/6/08
i met kylie at the market at 1pm and we ate our lunch there.Took bus 143 to vivo city and walked around....at 2.40pm we went to harbourfront mrt control station to meet the other.
Suzana and samuel were the 1st we met then miss tay..who was late...haha..after tat was izz yuying brenda melissa and shila was the last. 3pm ++ we went to the registeration booth to register(obviously) and we went to find our facils who were hualin and huiting. they are nice ppl:) haha..and we were in grp 14..the sun family! ok...erm nth much to say abt icebreaker part cos all of us knew each other and were super duper enthu..haha..were playing games there lor. anyway we played our first game..the family march..which was kind of like a torture cos our ankles were super painful after the game. kylie yuying and i keep falling la..its like after we fall once its so difficult to balance so we keep falling.s:
so after the game(which of cos..we did not win...cos we were against JC students) had a talk form the village cheif(all the teams=a village) and had some story thing we had dinner which was rice with baked beans and sardines..haha...delicious but not enough to fill our stomachs...
fast forward.....had some 'disaster' and was stuck in the hospital with other lost ppl....onli get to reunite with my grp at west coast park..so was boring time for me for like almost 2hrs....or more..at west coast park...where the grass are wet and mushy..ewww. we set up our slums....its like the ground is so wet so the cardboards counld not stay dry....so with masking tape and cardboards we made a slum with balcony and runway...hahahaha...
ok then while waiting for our turn to play the water game(which don't seem to be like a ordinary water game) our whole group played games...damn fun!! ha...
then the water game..nth much la..our grp was the 1st to finish and we had the least no. of bottles...haha....after that village chief talk to us and it was time to sleep..which i hardly did for 5 hrs.....i slept for 20mins...then while being awake, we watched clouds and stars. yup so tats all for day one
DAY TWO Of UNDER NO ROOF CAMP 8/6/08 at 5am...got up and sat the pavement and just tried to sleep....at 6am had breakfast which was bread and butter...then sit there dun noe waiting for wat and board the bus at 7am...in which we slept all the way to vivo. had another story and play games games games....well was not so sleepy liao..haha..1st game was like some be the blind and some be handicap..and both lead each other...so i was the blind and the lead yuying the handicap.hheeh...2nd game...our grp was split in to 5 and 4...5 go play some kind of soccer game(they used sponge soaked with water and throw..) while 4 of us...yuying kylie samuel and i went to make some kind of toy..made pocupine lovers..hahaha..nxt was LOST game...and i had to be the lost one cos i am the youngest..-.-....
anyway i was lost again and blindfolded again and then the game operator?? had to tell me wat is going on around me and ask me if i want to move around the so called place i am at(used grid squares on a paper) while my family find me with the clues i picked.....very complicated la...they found me in 11 turns??? got one grp found the member in 2 turns la..its like so impossible...hah.then nxt game was where we find puzzel pieces in a bag of stuff like paper, bottles, cans....ya...then ans qns abt the earthquake....then when all memebers got through we solve the puzzel....then for the nxt 3 hrs of the camp, we have to build a house with bricks we fold with paper....its was...er...ok la...then had cheeseburger from Burger King...'
well we did not win......at 6.15pm we were dismissed and went to buy some snacks and went home.....ya...was so blur until i stop at the wrong stop..luckily its onli one stop diff..haha..so tats all for under no roof..lets go to sc room redeco...
9 of juneo...k...met yuying at the busstop and headed to sch...once we put down our bags outside the SC room, miss yap ask us and archana to go out of sch with her to buy paint and brushes...
got light blue for the wall the mint green for the door...very pleasant colours :D
we unpacked the room 1st and laid newspapers..marcus and jianming started to paint. i helped around here and there with the taping....then taizhong and samuel came in to help...and somehow i managed to get hold of the brush and helped to paint abit...haha....after that went out of sch with archana and yuying to buy food to eat...did not eat breakfast...
came back and watched them paint from the outside of the room..cant go in cos the ladder was blocking and marcus was on it.well...then managed to get in awhile later and helped around.....do finishing touches and tada, the room is done....and so was the door....miss yap and some others went to put all the stuff back in while yuying marcus jianming and i do nonsense....hahha
we played with waterguns(which we found the the room..) yuying and i against marcus and jianming(duh) then we even went to the extend of filling the guns with cold water...it was super cold la..when they shoot....then we wash the brushes and trays clean...the green paint was seriously difficult to wash off even with thinner...(its oil-based unlike the blue paint which is so much easier to clean..) and marcus volunteered(if thats the rite word) to wash the green paint off the brush..and his hand went all green..front and back!! hahaha like the hulk..ahahahaha
anyway had lunch and went to buy snacks with yuying and went back home...dun have photos now..so..ya.... byebyebyebyebyebye!!!
