back from camp!!
IT WAS AWESOME!! CAMP ODYSSEY ROCKS!! haha even though the 1st day we were all like: "i want to go home!" haha but after that we realised tat it was very fun. lets start with day1!
DAY ONE 12/11/07reported to sch at 8am then they tell us wat to do and give us the things we nid like clues etc.Then the groups started at different time. btw my grp is
kusu. then my grp team mates were
Shila Thet JianMing Puvan Balaji Mason BoonYong and of cos me..haha. We started from our sch and our destination was the boys brigade camp site which was opposite great world city. So my grp headed off and it was raining....we went to 1st station which was at clementi woods park and did the challenge and headed on. 2nd station was a disaster....we didn't have the map cos
we dropped it at sch...and we thought tekong got help us bring but sadly its cos we did't noe we dropped it so we like so down and of cos we could not run back from NUS back to sch.anyway we went to all the stations except the last 3 cos we were late so we headed straight to the camp site. We started from qweensway there and so we walked on for the nxt 1 and a half hr. We saw mr kenny at great world and he gave us a challenge which was very lame..haha...after tat we
FINALLY reached the camp site. And my whole group were like
zombies already and dragged ourselves to our dorms. We ate dinner after tat..but i hardly feel like eating cos we ate our lunch at 5pm. After tat we had a briefing abt the
guardian angle give his/her
mortal flower thing cos each grp bought flowers at one of the stations. Then we had a match
of CANDLE SOCCER! it was
extremely fun but i wun elaborate too much on it. and
KUSU won!!! haha. and then we finally got our chance to wash up and had our water parade and reflection session. then lights out!
DAY TWO 13/11/07woke up at like 6am and went to wash up and change.At 7am(the time we were suppose to assemble) all of us girls were waiting for the guys..and then we did our
clementi woods great workout....lol..then it was time for breakfast.After that we went to tat workshop,
TRYBE.it was quite meaningful. and i knew more abt myself. Then during the workshop we played this game called the
chair game. It was really fun la. its like solving a puzzle and then we girls have to compete against the boys and we won! haha then we merge together and solved it together as a whole. After the workshop each grp have to go into dorms to practice for the
talent show during the bbq and the song we had to dance to was a hindi song -_-|| and all my grp did was sit there and listen to the music for like
more than 20times cos we could not think or start anything cos balaji, jianming and puvan was not there to help. so we did nothing..haha...after all tat we had to plan for the bbq things like where the stage were etc. we got a talk from mr kenny abt wat qualities a leader shld have and we had to write a creed. and we had the bbq which was our dinner(we had our lunch too is onli tat i didn't mention) and some parents came and thanks to kylie's parents cos they help me took some clothes home and gave us snacks..heheh:) and then we had our performance + encore.haha.then we had to practice some kind of clapping thing for mr kenny. and after than had our
night walk at the singapore river...it was like
4km and plus walking back is 8km. whew. then we also team up groups
kusu with tekong and
ubin with bukom. well after that walk it was like
1 plus i think and then we bathe and had water parade and finally went to bed....
DAY THREE 14/11/07woke up at 7am..i could hardly open my eyes..and then assemble and it
rained...we wondered why
everytime we have expedition it rains. haha.we got our map and the list of places we must go and have to choose so my grp work the way and we headed off to
outrum and
thank goodness the rained stopped..and got to our station. at 12pm we headed of pearl's hill park for checkpoint but it was cancelled so we continue...we went to many stops and at 3something we reached the nxt checkpoint which was
far east sq and from there
mrs ong joined us and thet left cos she could not continue.after that we finished 12stops then we reached
fort canning, the nxt checkpoint where we had to climb tat
flight of stairs...when we saw it we were like
OMG..but i guess it is better than
climbing the hill up.at the fort canning we ate some hello panda after finding mr kenny and headed to the national theatre original site and shila left us cos she got blisters. so we walked and walked and took photos for bonus along the way and then after then national library station we had to walk to
mount sophia and when we were there we saw this
long flight of stairs...and we climbed it till the very end..whew...and then we looked for the last 2 stations and of cos we were last and it was because of one of the stations....ms wahida told the other grps abt tat station thing and we didn't noe so we stayed there for almost
1 hr...anyway we went to our
hotel after the last 2 stations....the hotel was the
HANG-OUT! even though it was small it is very nice but the hotel no tv....haha i shared room with
mel shila and thet...went to eat dinner and gave the photos...and and my grp got
3rd!!! wooo even though we reached last we got 3rd! good job!! haha actually we could have reached earlier but we at the beginning of the day say
we must complete so we go complete the stations.then i went to bathe and had
group meeting at 10pm.
mr rama and
mr kenny talked to us. after tat went back to hotel room and blah blah...then mel shila and me were like
talking and laughing like crazy and even
prank call other rooms! hahaha so fun then we slept at unknown time...
DAY FOUR 15/11/07ate breakfast then pack things and went down..mr kenny talked to us and we took
group photos...then we boarded the bus and back to sch..nth much...but in the bus we were like playing
bomb la...haha...everytime TEKONG got bombed one cos onli 2 ppl replied the rest were like no sound la....haha okok...then we also go bomb teachers. quite fun....after all tat brenda mel kylie yuying and me stayed back to play the piano.and then we went home at 11plus...
reflection: ODYSSEY CAMP WAS
FUN AND MEANINGFUL COS WE LEARNT ALOT ON
BEING A GREAT LEADER. I NOE MY GROUP,
KUSU LEARNT ALOT ABT
TEAM WORK, DETERMINATION AND TAKING RISKS.THE WORKSHOP WAS MEANINGFUL TOO. EVEN THOUGH THE OVERALL CAMP WAS TIRING I THINK IT IS
AWESOME AND I DUN MIND GOING THROUGH WAT WE WENT THROUGH DURING THE THIRD DAY BUT
DUN WANT TO STAY AT THE CAMP SITE..HAHA...
LEARNT LOTS ABT SINGAPORE TOO...SO YA TAT'S ALL

sad tat: my flower from my guardian angle died..haha...and the space food was not really nice but the black pepper chicken one was ok.

haha i think tats all...happy reading! seriously, the camp was fun! thanks to my grp instructor
kamal(shld be like tat spell) haha and the
teachers for organising it.
